The Alchemy
Formed in Canterbury, UK, The Alchemy fuse the raw power of rock with electronic nuance and emotional depth, creating a sound that’s both modern and cinematic. Since emerging with their debut EP Modern Age in 2016, the band have evolved into one of the UK’s most exciting independent acts — known for their passionate performances and fiercely DIY ethos.
Their debut album Chemical Daydream (2020) marked a turning point, showcasing their anthemic sound and earning praise from Kerrang!, Planet Rock, and Scuzz TV. During lockdown, The Alchemy built their own studio and continued to write and produce independently, releasing Idle Ghosts (2021) and Somewhere // Anywhere (2023) — records that cemented their reputation for fearless self-production and emotional authenticity.
Over the years, The Alchemy have performed eight consecutive sold-out hometown shows, headlined UK tours, and supported Mallory Knox, I Am Giant, and The Intersphere. Their sound has been described as “cinematic and brooding” (Louder), with Backseat Mafia calling their work “a modern masterpiece.”
In 2025, the band make their European festival debut at PRO Weekend (Spain), before turning their attention to a landmark year ahead. 2026 marks The Alchemy’s 10th anniversary, which they’ll celebrate with a special anniversary show and a series of new releases — continuing their mission to create honest, dynamic, and emotionally driven modern rock.
